Rebekah Barr CPA Firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our growing team. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a critical role in preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning assistance, and offering support for a wide variety of tax-related matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Assist with tax research and planning to optimize client tax situations.
- Analyze financial data and documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to tax laws.
- Review and identify tax deductions, credits, and potential liabilities for clients.
- Communicate with clients to request necessary documentation and provide timely updates on tax matters.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports as required for tax purposes.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with team members and partners to provide comprehensive services to clients.
- Provide general tax-related advice and assist with inquiries regarding tax matters.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress).
Public accounting experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of tax preparation software (experience with ProSeries or similar programs is a plus).
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.Preferred
CPA certification or working toward CPA certification.
Experience in tax compliance, tax planning, or financial reporting.
Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
