Responsibilities:
-Demonstrate expert knowledge in database management systems, standards, and quality assurance, including transactions and backups
-Demonstrate experience in database design, architecture, capacity planning, external data interfaces, data loading, and security policies
-Demonstrate proficiency in SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), PostgreSQL, and pgAdmin
-Monitor, configure, test, and report on database conditions to ensure successful development and maintenance
-Develop and update databases, focusing heavily on SQL and PostgreSQL
-Implement quality assurance checks to test system readiness and communication
-Provide user support for database integration and development
-Translate business requirements into logical models and ensure accurate entity relationships and data flows
-Develop physical models from logical designs, including schemas, tables, views, functions, and stored procedures
-Make recommendations to optimize efficiency, storage, software updates, and data recovery
-Familiar with tools and technologies such as SQL, SSMS, PostgreSQL, pgAdmin, C#, Java, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Agile practices
-Participate in quality assurance processes
Requirements
Minimum 14 years of relevant experience
At least 4 years of experience with infrastructure services (compute, storage, database, transport, etc.)
Expertise in database technologies like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL
Strong data evaluation skills with tools like MS Excel or Tableau
Desired Skills
Experience within the Intelligence Community or military intelligence
Background as a Data Scientist, Engineer, Analyst, or Quality Analyst
Familiarity with programming languages like C#, Java, or Python
Education Required:
Master’s degree and 12 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree and 14 years of experience
