Responsibilities:
- Define and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals and military aircrew needs
- Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities within military aviation
- Collaborate with Product Owners to manage product backlog and prioritize features based on value, effort, and strategic alignment
- Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria tailored to aircrew workflows and operational flight challenges
- Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure on-time delivery of reliable and user-friendly solutions
- Partner with advanced product teams to develop high-value features and meet emergent needs of military users
- Analyze project performance and gather user feedback to identify improvements and refine product roadmap.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and technologies related to military aviation and aircrew operations
- Advocate for aircrews, ensuring products meet or exceed their expectations in demanding environments.
- Mentor and coach Product Owners, guiding them on best practices, prioritization, stakeholder management, and development processes
- Foster a collaborative and learning-focused team culture with an emphasis on understanding aircrew perspectives
Requirements
Experience mentoring junior team members
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical teams and military personnel
Data-driven decision-making experience with the ability to draw actionable insights
Experience building products that address user problems and significantly impact military aircrews
Ability to work independently with a self-starter mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Desired:
Experience with radar warning receivers, radar jammers, and IR countermeasures in military aviation.
Product Management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSPO, PSPO).
Prior military experience in an aircrew role (highly valuable).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of FMS programs is a plus.
Education REQUIRED:
BS or BA degree in Business Management or related technical discipline
An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors
An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted, if holding Associates
